Raphael Varane is on the brink of joining Como in Serie A, following discussions with the club’s co-owner and assistant manager, Cesc Fabregas.
After leaving Manchester United as a free agent, the French defender has opted to continue his career in Italy.
According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Varane has given his approval to Como’s proposal. The deal is nearing completion pending contract reviews, a medical examination, and finalization procedures.
Cesc Fabregas played a pivotal role in facilitating this transfer, as reported exclusively back in June.
