Stanley Nwabali, the Super Eagles goalkeeper playing for Chippa United in South Africa, has allegedly faced threats from South African fans following his exceptional performance against their country.
According to former Super Eagles international Idah Peterside, who disclosed this on Channels Television, some fans have warned Nwabali against returning to Chippa United after the AFCON tournament.
Although the threats haven’t been officially reported, it’s believed that some South Africans are unhappy with Nwabali’s role in preventing their team from reaching the finals.

Nwabali demonstrated his skill during the semi-final clash against Bafana Bafana, making crucial saves during regulation time and stopping two penalties during the shootout.
