Nigerian afrobeats megastar Rema has arrived in India to perform at the wedding of Anant Ambani, son of Asia’s richest man Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, daughter of pharma tycoons Viren and Shaila Merchant.

On Thursday night, Rema shared a video on Instagram showing himself walking towards a private jet in an all-black outfit. He added ‘Azaman’ from his recently released sophomore album, ‘He Is,’ as background music and included an emoji of the Indian tricolour.

According to the Hindustan Times, Rema is charging $3 million to perform his global hit song ‘Calm Down’ at the event.

Canadian singer Justin Bieber was reportedly paid $10 million for his performance, while pop star Rihanna also performed for an undisclosed fee.

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant will tie the knot on July 12 at the Jio World Centre in Bandra Kurla Centre (BKC) in Mumbai. The four-day wedding extravaganza in Mumbai is the final event in a series of lavish parties the family has hosted since March.

Among the notable guests expected to attend are Kim Kardashian, former UK Prime Ministers Boris Johnson and Tony Blair, former US Secretary of State John Kerry, former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt, and former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
