Vice President Kashim Shettima on Thursday presided over a National Economic Council (NEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazak (Kwara State), and the Progressive Governors’ Forum Chairman, Gov. Hope Uzodimma (Imo State).
Other participants included the governors of Zamfara, Jigawa, Lagos, Anambra, Gombe, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Benue, and Ondo states, as well as the Sole Administrator of Rivers State, retired Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas.
The council session focused on deliberations over national economic policies and regional development strategies.
