Nigerian singer Michael Adebayo Olayinka, known as Ruger, expressed gratitude for the platform Jonzing World provided, catapulting him into the spotlight. However, he chose not to renew his contract, citing dissatisfaction with the label’s efforts in promoting his brand.

He accused label boss D’Prince of neglecting him and redirecting resources towards scouting new talents instead of supporting his career. Venting his frustrations on X in a series of posts, Ruger hinted at deeper grievances but hesitated to speak out fully, fearing potential repercussions.

Following the expiration of his contract on February 6, 2024, He announced his departure from Jonzing World on Instagram. While acknowledging his appreciation for Jonzing World and D’Prince, Ruger emphasized his decision to bet on himself and pursue new opportunities independently.

He wrote, “As much as I’m very appreciative of the fact that Jonzing world introduced me to the world, I just couldn’t continue with them because they got too comfortable with the money they were making from me and couldn’t push me further as I wanted to be pushed. Was supposed to renegotiate the contract but I couldn’t imagine 5 years more without action.

“Dey use my money Dey fund new artist, leaving me in the dark, not being transparent. I just laugh. How e be now?
