Former Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has revealed that he has discussed a potential return to the club with current manager Mikel Arteta.
The 38-year-old, who is still playing and aiming for promotion to LaLiga with Real Oviedo, played for Arsenal from 2012 to 2018, winning the FA Cup twice. He left the club after dealing with severe injury setbacks.
“I spent six wonderful years at Arsenal and know how much the fans appreciate me. I was fortunate to share a dressing room with Mikel Arteta, who is now the manager,” Cazorla told Sky Sports. “We have had conversations about a return, but my focus is currently on helping Oviedo and enjoying my football here.”
