Shoemaker Stabs Landlord's Son to Death In Ondo | Daily Report Nigeria

The Ondo state police command has arrested a shoemaker, Sikiru Owolabi for the alleged murder of 48-year-old Bolanle Adilewa, in the Ijo Mimo area of Akure, the State capital.

According to report, Owolabi stabbed the victim to death after they got into a heated argument on Tuesday March 15, which degenerated to a fight.

The suspect who claimed to have acted in self-defence rented a shop at the victim’s father’s house, where he plied his trade.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Funmilayo Odunlami confirmed the incident and further revealed that the suspect is already in police custody.

She added that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.

The police spokesperson said;

“The suspect is in our custody. He said he acted in self-defence when the deceased took an object to attack him while they were fighting. We have transferred the case to the SCID for further investigation.”
