Stanley Nwabali

Stanley Nwabali, the Super Eagles goalkeeper, has expressed his contentment with his current club, Chippa United, indicating that he is in no rush to depart. Despite garnering attention from foreign clubs due to his stellar performances at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Nwabali remains committed to his role at Chippa United.

The 27-year-old shot-stopper’s impressive displays saw him emerge as the first-choice goalkeeper for the Super Eagles, despite his relatively recent inclusion in the national team setup just before the AFCON. Notably, Nwabali showcased his talent by keeping four clean sheets during the tournament and making crucial saves, including two penalties in the semi-final clash against South Africa.

In an interview with Arise News, Nwabali addressed inquiries regarding his future, indicating his satisfaction with his current club and emphasizing his focus on continuing to perform at his best for Chippa United.

“People have been sending messages like they want me to move to Europe or they want me to move to a bigger club.

“I really appreciate that, but to be honest, one thing about me is that I always feel comfortable, even if I’m in a small place; I don’t like to rush,” he said.
