Student Was Sent Home Due to “Havoc” Caused by Obi’s Sticker in Class— Withness

The President of Odomola Secondary School Old Students Association, OSSOSA, Apagun Saka Shola has said that Marvelous Barinaada was sent out of school for causing havoc in the classroom with a poster of Labour Party, LP’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

This contradicted previous reports stating that the 10-year-old student of Odomola Junior Secondary School, Epe in Lagos State was asked to exit the school premises go home, and campaign for Obi instead.

The OSSOSA president said:

I have been able to reach the principal. The issue circulating is far from the truth. There is a directive to stop all forms of campaign in the classroom. As some political parties use the students to campaign in class.

“The principal did not expel or suspend the student. She sent her home for causing havoc and disturbance in the class during recess by chatting and sharing LP posters to her mates.”

Earlier it was said that Barinaada, a Junior Secondary School 2 student was exited for going to school with a bag bearing the sticker of Obi.

The JSS2 student was given an exit form to leave the school because she violated the instructions that the Lagos State government allegedly gave schools in the state.
