These buses, he said, will ply popular routes such as Iyana Oworo-Lekki/Jakande, Unilag Gate/Yaba, and Obanlende/Oshodi, and will run between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm.

He said:

I know the fuel subsidy p is hard on everyone right now so here’s my little way of helping. For the next 3 days, there will be FREE Body & Soul buses along the following routes between 8am and 5pm.”

Many applauded the singer for his thoughtful gesture that will undoubtedly ease the burden on Lagosians who rely on public transportation.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu had earlier on Monday, in Abuja, affirmed that his administration would not continue to pay subsidies on petroleum products.

The” fuel subsidy is gone!” Tinubu exclaimed during his inaugural address at Eagle Square, Abuja, shortly after he was sworn in as the 16th President of Nigeria.

The Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kyari revealed that fuel subsidy removal palliatives were coming soon when some entities opposed Tinubu’s declaration.

Kyari stated that the President was planning to provide palliatives for Nigerians to alleviate the impact of the sudden removal of fuel subsidy.
