Troost-Ekong

The Super Eagles got some great news ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin: William Troost-Ekong is back in training.

Troost-Ekong had been out since he underwent surgery after an injury he picked up during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The 30-year-old is now set to play in PAOK Salonica’s final three league matches of the season.

His return is a major boost for the Super Eagles, who are still seeking their first win in the World Cup qualifiers.
