The Egbesu Brotherhood has commended the efforts of High Chief Government Ekpemupuolo alias Tompolo in the fight against oil theft.
In a statement signed by Apostle Bodmas Kemepade and Priest Ellington Bakumor, Coordinator and Deputy Coordinator respectively, the group commended Tompolo’s Tantita Security Services Limited for contributing to the increase of oil production in the country.
It also beckoned on the Federal Government to renew the pipeline security contract to Tantita, owing to its groundbreaking results in the last one year.
It read;
“We are richly informed and aware of the comments making rounds on the private oil surveillance security outfit, Tantita Security Service Limited.

“While many groups have called on the President Tinubu led federal government to renew the contract on basis of excellence performance and significant increase on oil production achieved so far through the award of contract to Tantita by the immediate past Muhammadu Buhari-led government, other merchants of oil crimes are effortlessly trying to frustrate the process of the contract renewal owing to their dubious and selfish purposes aimed at depleting Nigeria’s economy.
“As a group, while we hail the commitments of High Chief Oweizidei Ekpemupolo in his unflinching position to revamp the Nigeria economy by boosting oil production, we state unequivocally that we are equally pleased to recognize and applaud the tremendous achievements of Tantita Security outfit in the fight against oil theft, provision of job opportunities, fight against crimes, criminality, their activities have recorded massive discovery and confiscation of numerous illegal bunkering points and vessels, which has also contributed to the increase of oil production which is evident to the country’s improved economy today.
“The current realities of Tantita service in the oil and gas industry has increased the figure of production benchmark per day as set by OPEC, currently, Nigeria now enjoys about 1.6 million barrel per day from an abysmal 700 barrels of oil production, thereby saving a whopping 8 billion in dollars of the country’s resources from oil thieves courtesy of Tantita Security input to securing crude oil facilities.
“However, we are calling on those working endlessly to terminate the contract of Tantita Security which has not only secured and increased oil production in Nation but has provided jobs for thousands of Nigerians to stop their gimmicks and attempt to satisfy their selfish gains and paymasters who are beneficiaries of oil theft.
“Based on the above, we are calling on His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to act timely and grant the renewal of contract to the private security firm “Tantita Security Service” to continue in their collaboration with the Nigerian navy in the fight against crude theft because these oil thieves are already gathering to plunder Nigeria’s resources.
“Conclusively, we remain resolute in our call for the renewal of the Tantita Contract and for the umpteenth time we are urging agents of oil theft cabals to desist from the politics of hate to halt the process and support Tantita Services which is yielding progress in the increase of crude oil production to the benefit of the Nigerian economy.”
