Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, also known as Tems, has postponed the release of the video for her hit song “Burning” from her debut album “Born In The Wild.” The video was originally scheduled to drop today.

In a statement on her X handle, the Oscar-nominated artist explained that the postponement is in respect of the ongoing nationwide protests. She also expressed her support for the protest against bad governance, emphasizing the importance of the people’s voices being heard.

Tems wrote: “Out of respect for the ongoing protest at home, I have decided to postpone the release of the ‘Burning’ music video. Praying for the safety of those outside at this time. May the voice of the people be heard.”
