Residents have been out in a state of panic following a rape case involving a pregnant woman.

According to reports from Nasarawa Mirror, a pregnant woman, identified as Margaret was reportedly raped by a six-man gang suspected to be militias in Kadiri, Keana Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

According to a statement from the victim, she said she was working on the farm with her husband when the men came, and I’m sighting them she and her husband took to their heels.

But because of her condition she could not run very fast and fell to the ground, the armed men took turns to rape her until she was left bleeding and barely conscious before they abandoned her.

She was located afterwards with the help of her husband and rushed to the hospital where she is currently receiving treatment.

Residents of the town, who are mostly farmers have appealed to the Government to intervene swiftly and ensure that justice is served for the innocent victim.
