Tinubu Appoints 6 Directors for NPA, NIMASA

President Bola Tinubu has appointed six new Executive Directors for the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).

The appointments were disclosed in a statement by presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale on Thursday.

For the NPA, Vivian Edet was appointed as the Executive Director of Finance & Administration.

Olalekan Badmus was appointed as the Executive Director of Marine and Operations, and Ibrahim Umar as the Executive Director of Engineering and Technical Services.

Also, Jibril Abba was appointed as the Executive Director of Maritime Labour & Cabotage Services for NIMASA, along with Chudi Offodile as the Executive Director of Finance and Administration.

Fatai Adeyemi was appointed as the Executive Director of Operations.

The statement added that appointments demonstrate Tinubu’s commitment to strengthening the maritime sector and ensuring effective governance in the agencies under the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy.

Part of the statement read: the appointees will “execute their collective mandate to create the conditions required to significantly raise the contribution of the Marine & Blue Economy sector to the nation’s GDP.
