President Bola Tinubu has officially launched the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Emblem at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja, underscoring his commitment to the welfare of Nigeria’s servicemen and women.

During the ceremony, Tinubu emphasized the crucial role of the armed forces in safeguarding the nation’s territorial integrity and its citizens.

Highlighting the government’s responsibility, Tinubu stated, “We must prioritize the welfare of our military personnel and honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.”

He reiterated the administration’s dedication to enhancing security, which he believes is vital for Nigeria’s economic future.

The event also saw substantial financial contributions aimed at supporting the armed forces, with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation announcing a pledge of N500 million on behalf of the Federal Government.

The National Assembly, represented by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, contributed N200 million, while the Chief of Defence Staff and the Inspector-General of Police collectively pledged N50 million.
