The President-elect, Bola Tinubu has received transition documents from President Muhammadu Buhari.
The handover ceremony took place in Abuja at the State House Banquet Hall on Thursday.
Tinubu also received the baton of service alongside the documents at the investiture of the National Honour of Grand Commander of the Federal Republic (GCFR).

The Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima was conferred the title of Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON).
The handover procedure followed Executive Order 14 mandating the transition council to issue handover documents containing proposed policy direction for the incoming administration, amongst others.
