President Bola Tinubu has signed the 2025 Appropriation Bill of ₦54.99 trillion into law. The signing ceremony took place on Friday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, in the presence of the leadership of the National Assembly and other senior government officials.

The 2025 budget, which was passed by both chambers of the National Assembly on February 13, represents a 99.96% increase from the 2024 budget of ₦27.5 trillion.

The budget breakdown shows a total expenditure of ₦54.99 trillion, with allocations for statutory transfers, recurrent expenditure, capital expenditure, and debt servicing.

The budget details are as follows:

Total Expenditure: ₦54.99 trillion

Statutory Transfers: ₦3.65 trillion

Recurrent (Non-Debt) Expenditure: ₦13.64 trillion

Capital Expenditure: ₦23.96 trillion

Debt Servicing: ₦14.32 trillion

Woo Tinubu to join PDP – Group challenges Wike

A group, PDP Frontiers for Change and Progress, has urged Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to prove his loyalty to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by wooing President Bola Tinubu to join the party.
