Tobi Amusan Wins 100m Hurdles At 2022 ISTAF Berlin | Daily Report Nigeria

Popular Nigerian athlete, Tobi Amusan has claimed the 100m hurdles gold at the Internationales Stadionfest at the Olympic stadium in Berlin, Germany.

Tobi emerged winner at the annual ISTAF competition, and received her medal at the 2022 Berlin meeting on Sunday, September 4, beating off competition from America, Tia Jones who finished 2nd, and Olympic bronze medalist Megan Tapper of Jamaica.

The 25-year-old finished in 12.45 seconds to claim first place, Tia Jones finished 2nd with a time of 12.58 while Megan Tapper of Jamaica placed 3rd with a time of 12.66s.

 

Amusan said after her victory:

“It has been a long season, but I am still alive. I just wanted to finish strong today. I was here to execute.

“I need to work on what I need to work on, but it is alright. There is always room for improvement. I need to improve my start and my finish.

“I will race again in Zurich. Today we had a great competitive field. My goal was to focus on myself.”
