The Delta State Election Petitions Tribunal has sacked the House of Representatives member for Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu Federal Constituency, Rev. Francis Waive.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that Waive was declared winner of the February 25 election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

In a sitting in Asaba on Monday, the tribunal declared Solomon Ahwinahwi of the Peoples Democratic Party as winner of the election.

It further ordered for the withdrawal of the Certificate of Return earlier presented to Waive of the All Progressives Congress and present Ahwinawhi with another certificate.

Waive’s sack is coming on the heels of the sack of Delta South Senator, APC’s Joel Onowakpo.

The tribunal subsequently ordered a rerun of the election in Warri South Local Government Area within 90 days.
