Nigerians have taken to social media to roast former Super Eagles gaffer, Gernot Rohr over his coaching tactics.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that the onslaught came after Nigerian thrashed Sao Tome 6-0 on Sunday at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Akwa Ibom.

The win meant the Eagles secured 15 points to top the group as they qualified for the 2023 African Cup of Nations.

Reacting to the win, netizens dragged Rohr for the terrible performances the team recorded under him.

Popular investigative journalist, David Hundeyin was the first to tag the former Super Eagles coach into the debate.

He said;

“Instead of an easy 6-0 win, Gernot Rohr would have coached this team to a turgid 2-1 win, and convinced all of you that he did well because nobody could have done better with these players.

“I’ll never forgive that man,” Hundeyin added.

Other Nigerians reacted with little or no support for Rohr.

Daily Report Nigeria compiled some of the comments.

Indispensable said, “Gernot Rohr blended in with the Nigerian political corruption so well that he became the Getaway coach for any terrible NFA administration.”

Mike Ubaka said, “How are you people cooking Rohr? Man played one of the best footballs we ever watched… please”.

Henry Onos, “Gernot Rohr was the biggest fraud ever to manage the Super Eagles. How he managed to stay that long with records of failures needs to be studied.

“I used to think he had the nudes of Amaju Pinnick cos I couldn’t understand.”

Manuel Adebayo then added, “Records of failure, my foot! He qualified super eagles for every available tournament during his time and won us the bronze at Afcon 2019. The Eguavon he was replaced with what did he do?”

Meanwhile, Rohr’s Benin Republic side failed to qualify for the 2023 AFCON after suffering a 3-2 defeat to Mozambique.

The Stallions who surrendered a two-goal lead as the Mambas rallied from behind to qualify for their first AFCON in 11 years.
