Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong is anticipating a challenging match against Rwanda but is confident that the team will secure a victory. The Super Eagles are set to face the Amavubi at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali on Tuesday.

Troost-Ekong, who is visiting Rwanda for the first time, expressed appreciation for the warm reception the team received. He acknowledged that Rwanda has a strong team and noted that they currently lead the Super Eagles’ group in the World Cup qualifiers. He emphasized that the Super Eagles are fully focused on their mission to win the match, with all players highly motivated and ready to perform.

The defender, currently playing for Al-Khaloood in Saudi Arabia, stated that the team came to Kigali with a clear objective: to secure all three points. He also welcomed the return of coach Augustine Eguavoen, highlighting the importance of unity within the team, despite the absence of a few regular players.
