Troost-Ekong: Super Eagles Ready to Shine in AFCON Qualifier

Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong has announced that the team is highly motivated for their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Benin Republic. The match will take place on Saturday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

Troost-Ekong shared that the squad is in high spirits and eager to perform. “The mood in camp is excellent,” he said during a media briefing on Friday. “We’re excited about this game and focused on qualifying for Morocco (for the AFCON).”

He added, “We plan to achieve that by winning our matches. The players are mentally prepared, and I’m impressed with what I’ve seen in training.”
