No confirmation yet from Israel or Iran on alleged agreement
Former United States President, Donald Trump, has announced a “complete and total ceasefire” agreement between Israel and Iran, raising global attention over the deadly Middle East conflict.
Trump made the claim on Monday night via his social media platform, Truth Social, stating that both countries had agreed to end hostilities within six hours of winding down their current operations.
“CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE! It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a Complete and Total CEASEFIRE (in approximately 6 hours from now, when Israel and Iran have wound down and completed their in-progress, final missions!), for 12 hours, at which point the War will be considered, ENDED!” Trump posted.

He added that the war, which has alarmed the international community, “could have gone on for years and destroyed the entire Middle East,” but asserted, “it didn’t, and never will.”
Despite the high-profile announcement, neither Israel nor Iran has issued an official confirmation or denial, leaving questions over the authenticity and enforcement of the claimed agreement.

Trump, who has recently returned to the international spotlight, credited himself for preventing a prolonged Middle Eastern crisis and hinted that the situation had been managed through high-level, behind-the-scenes negotiations.
