Two Premier League players, both 19 years old and from the same club, were arrested last weekend on charges related to rape and assault, as reported by the UK Sun.
According to reports, the first player was briefly interviewed at his club’s stadium about an assault and possible involvement in a rape incident. He was then officially arrested after leaving the stadium and spent the night in a police cell before being formally questioned by detectives.
The following day, his teammate was also taken into custody and questioned on suspicion of rape.

A police spokesperson stated: “Officers have arrested two men following a report of a rape. A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and aiding and abetting a rape. A second 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape. Both men have since been released on police bail.”
