Meanwhile, Salah’s goal levelled a record that has so long been set by ex-Tottenham Hotspur star, Crouch.

Salah becomes the second footballer to register goals against the duo of AC Milan and Inter Milan in the Champions League in one season after Crouch in 2010/2011 season while in Tottenham.

Crouch reacted: “That was the record he wanted. Well done Mo you should be so proud.”
