Manchester United players on Monday reported for training by 9am following their humiliating 7-0 defeat by Liverpool.

Manager Erik ten Hag was said to have been arrived the training ground two hours before the players.

Sources say he will hold a debrief with the players following the club’s worst defeat in 91 years at Anfield.

Ten Hag was asked during his post-match press conference if the players had attempted to explain their capitulation, he replied: “No, I didn’t give them the chance until now.

“We have to talk about that, I have only given my opinion about it and we will talk about that tomorrow. I know this team will reset and we have to bounce back and we have shown in the past we can.”
