A lot of people have been left teary following the burial of a naval officer who died rescuing other crew members.
Daily Report Nigeria recalls that a naval officer, Lieutenant Commander Gideon Gwaza drowned while rescuing 59 crew member of a distressed vessel in Abuja.
The lieutenant was buried at the military cemetery in Abuja, and the event was gracefully attended by the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, and some principal officers from Defence and Services headquarters.

Lt.-commander died on July 30 during the operation at the Okpobo Field, near the Okpobo River.
