Nigerian singer Anthony Ebuka Victor, known as Victony, has disclosed that he has undergone four surgeries and is preparing for a fifth. The singer, who survived a severe car accident in 2021 that left him in a coma for four days, is still in recovery.
In an interview during the Adesope Live segment at the Afroland festival, Victony spoke about his ongoing recovery process and his upcoming North America tour. He mentioned that he relies on pain relievers before his performances to manage discomfort.
Reflecting on his journey, Victony expressed gratitude despite the challenges. “Honestly, I am blessed and the world can see. Even though I’m still recovering, I’m able to perform and tour. I’ve had four surgeries and will need one more after the tour. It’s a blessing despite the frequent hospital visits,” he said.
Earlier this year, in February 2023, He announced a two-month hiatus from music following his third surgery.
