Interest came from leading clubs across Europe and the Middle East, yet he chose a return to Istanbul because, he says, he knew where he wanted to be.
“I already knew in my heart where I wanted to be. They valued me here,” Osimhen said after Galatasaray’s 3–1 win against Çaykur Rizespor.
“My club, my fans… There is a really different understanding within the club. Whether a player starts or comes off the bench, everyone is respected here. The difficult part was the financial one — I received some big offers. It would be a lie if I said it didn’t interest me. But I’m happy to be at Galatasaray.” – the former Napoli star added.
Meanwhile, Osimhen’s early performances are already making his point.
The 26-year-old has scored in consecutive league games.
As a result, Galatasaray extended their perfect start to the Turkish Super Lig season and kept momentum going.
In short, Osimhen’s message was clear: he put belonging and club culture ahead of bigger offers, and on the field he has backed that choice with decisive goals.
