Netherland played a 1-1 draw against Norway on Wednesday night, as Virgil van Dijk had a less than welcome ‘intruder’ while in a post-match interview.
Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk during a post-match interview pushed away a fan that tried to hug him.
It was after a 1-1 draw with the Norwegian side in an international match on Wednesday night.
He was on media duties after the match as the captain of his team when a presumable supporter tried to hug him as he was speaking. The Liverpool defender kept his cool, swaying out of the way before pushing the fan away and continued with the interview.

Virgil van Dijk was out for nine months last season and Anfield fans were eager to see him on the pitch again. He is back this season and has helped Liverpool to keep two clean sheets out of three matches.
In his interview with Liverpool Echo, the Dutch star said;
“Very good. I am proud, a lot of hard work so far has been put in to get where I am and obviously I’ve had a lot of help from my wife and my kids.
“Obviously the thing is I have played and the first one was very emotional and very tough for many reasons. You visualize the game so many times in your head before you actually play so as I said to the club I was not tired because of the game – I was tired because of everything around it.
“And it was sort of like a hurdle. I had to get over that I felt like then it would come again. So that is what happened in my point of view.
“I kept training well and felt confident in my knee. What is very important is that I kept my fitness up and we kept a clean sheet.”
