Wizkid Dedicates Upcoming Album ‘Morayo’ to Late Mother

Nigerian Afrobeats singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known as Wizkid, has announced that his upcoming sixth studio album will be dedicated to his late mother, Jane Morayo Balogun.

In a video message shared on social media on Saturday, the ‘Ojuelegba’ hitmaker revealed that the album, titled ‘Morayo’ in honor of his mom, will be released “very soon.”

Wizkid said, “My album ‘Morayo,’ dedicated to my mum, the love of my life, drops very soon. Don’t dull. Don’t sleep.”

Wizkid’s mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, passed away on August 18, 2023, in London. The singer expressed his deep sorrow over her loss, stating, “The pain is profound.”
