Woman Slumps, Dies After Husband Tested Positive to Coronavirus

A woman has reportedly slumped and died following her husband’s positive test result for Coronavirus in Ughelli, Ughelli North L.G.A, Delta state.

The sad event which took place around the Igho Salami Street, Uloho Avenue, threw people in the neighborhood into mourning.

A visit to the neighborhood showed people gathered in relatively small numbers, lamenting over the ugly situation, even as they tried to keep it away from strangers.

The middle aged woman whose identity was given as Mrs. Oregbe was in her home before she received the news of her husband’s Covid-19 status on Monday.

A source who hinted newsmen revealed that the late Mrs Oregbe was having blood pressure challenges for sometime, which may have resulted to her death.

She reported slumped and gave up the ghost before she could be rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, we brought you news of how the Delta state governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, his wife Edith alongside one of their daughters tested positive to the lethal virus.

Okowa and his wife had gone into self isolation following the positive result of his daughter earlier in the week before they were both confirmed positive on Wednesday morning.
