Yahoo Boy Crushes Bus Driver to Death in Delta

The Delta State Police Command has set out in manhunt for a suspected internet fraudsters for the purposeful killing of a commercial bus driver in Ibusa, Oshimili North LGA.

The incident reportedly forced the victim’s colleagues to a protest as they refused plying the Ibusa-Asaba route as members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Ibusa branch.

According to witnesses, the bus driver did hit the suspected Yahoo Boy’s car in Asaba as he tried to leave the park with passengers for Ibusa.

The driver came down from his vehicle to plead with the young man who was furious over the damage on his car.

The fraudster demanded for the repair of his car as he pounced on the driver even as passengers and other drivers joined the driver to beg for mercy.

Both parties later parted ways, thinking the matter had been resolved, not knowing the fraudster was dissatisfied.

He was said to have trailed the bus driver to Ibusa, the last bus stop and crushed him to death when the bus driver knelt on the main road to continue pleading for forgiveness.

Angry family members reportedly dumped the lifeless body of the driver at the family compound of the Yahoo boy.

The Delta state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, confirmed the incident, stating that efforts to apprehend the fleeing suspect are on already.
