  • Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has stated that the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP)-led administration is not threatened or intimidated by the All Progressives Congress’s (APC) plans to take over the state in the 2027 general election.

  • Yusuf’s statement comes after APC National Chairman Abdullahi Umar Ganduje expressed confidence that the APC would win the 2027 election in Kano.

  •  He warned that whoever threatens the people of Kano would face the repercussions.

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has stated that the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP)-led administration is not threatened or intimidated by the All Progressives Congress’s (APC) plans to take over the state in the 2027 general election.

Yusuf made this statement at the Government House in Kano.

According to Yusuf, “Let me be clear, whoever threatens the good people of Kano will face the consequences. We are ready, and I will not hesitate to take decisive action against them.”

He added, “As for those talking about taking over power in 2027, let me remind you, power belongs to God. It is He who grants leadership, and we pray that He gives it only to those who have the best interests of the good people of Kano at heart.”

Yusuf emphasized that the state government’s focus is on fulfilling its mandate and delivering dividends of democracy to the people.

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has announced a major reshuffle within his cabinet.

In a statement released today by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa, Governor Yusuf disclosed that the restructuring was a necessary step to ensure optimal performance and achieve the administration’s developmental goals.
