Veteran Nollywood actress, Joke Silva has come underfire for supporting Bola Tinubu, the All Progressive Congress’ presidential flag bearer in the 2023 elections.
The actress had joined the APC women’s rally in support of Tinubu on Monday, in Lagos.
This came a few days after she was announced as a member of the women’s wing of Tinubu’s presidential campaign council.
Silva was assigned to the responsibility of heading the Creative and Entertainment Industry committee of the council.

During the rally, Silva posted a video with Lagos First Lady, Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, and others dancing and waving brooms, the party’s symbol via her Instagram page.
Her act, however, was described as “WICKEDNESS and SELFISHNESS by Wisdom.
The user why Joke would stop her husband and legendary actor, Olu Jacobs from his acting job due to his age and health and turnaround to support someone more weak to lead Nigerians.
Wisdom wrote;
“I learnt Joke Silvia stopped pa olu Jacobs from taking movies roles because of his HEALTH and AGE.
“So, why would she turn around and support a man older and physically weaker than her husband for presidency. That’s WICKEDNESS and SELFISHNESS.”
We are used to their abuses and causes. Let them continue. Election is around the corner. While serious politicians are busy pussueing their goal, the obidients are busy doing the useless things. I only hope they will not claim rigging where is none.
