A socio-political organization, Arewa Inter governmental forum, has articulated anxiety over the increasing wave of insecurity throughout the northern states.

It also stated that youth unemployment in the area has become a time bomb, a situation difficult to deal with.

Emanating from an assembly of its Board of Trustees in Kaduna on Wednesday, the ACF noted that despite the efforts of the Federal authorities, Boko Haram, bandits kidnappers, clashes among herders and farmers were augmented.

In a communiqué signed by Shehu Malami and made public by the National Publicity Secretary of the institution, Emmanuel Yawe, stated that the ACF decried a state in which the North was left without an independent monetary organization to increase the financial growth and fortunes of the region.

The statement added, “further, the board decried the dearth of media houses in the north to preserve the citizens of the north well knowledgeable of what is going on in the country.

“The board observe that without a valid financial basis and backing, the north will constantly stay backward.

“on the problems of unemployment within the north, the board said it’s disappointing that the north has no longer realised it’s sitting on a time bomb which can explode at any time.

“The board resolved that there’s the need to take instant action to salvage the youth from lethargy, drug and substance abuse, despondency and banditry.”

On the trial of the self-declared leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, the discussion board praises the Federal government, security men , and all involved in the arrest and repatriation.

The ACF stated the development has confirmed the government is capable of managing insecurity in the country.
