1. The heaviest Para power lift by a female

On December 2, 2021, at the World Para Powerlifting Championships in Tbilisi, Georgia, Nigeria’s Bose Omolayo lifted 152.5 kg (317 lb 7 oz) in the -79 kg category. She also won a gold medal at the 2017 World Para Powerlifting Championships in Mexico.

Earlier in 2012, Oluwafemiayo won a silver medal in the women’s 75kg category at the 2012 Summer Paralympics, breaking the world record in the process

2. The heaviest para power lift by a male

As of the 9th Fazza 2018 World Para Powerlifting World Cup in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates on February 19, 2018, Nigerian Paul Kehinde lifted 221 kg (487 lb 3.5 oz) with his para power lift in the -65 kg category. At the World Championships in December 2017, Kehinde established a world record of 220.5 kg, which he later shattered.

3. The Longest Dance Party

Kafayat Oluwatoyin Shafau, best known as Kaffy, is a Nigerian dancer, choreographer, and fitness coach.

After dancing for 55 hours and 40 minutes, Kaffy and her dance group broke the “Longest Dance Party” Guinness World Record in 2006.

She is presently a dance teacher who has created new accelerated learning techniques based on visualization to teach dance and dance fitness.

4. The youngest person to win the Africa Cup of Nations as a player and coach

Stephen Keshi holds the record of the youngest person to win the AFCON as a player and coach

Late Stephen Keshi is a former international footballer from Nigeria who played for and led the Nigerian Super Eagles during the early 1990s.

He was also the former coach of the Nigerian Super Eagles, having held that position for several years.

As the youngest player and coach to win the Africa Cup of Nations, Stephen Keshi set a new Guinness World Record. For his role as a player, Stephen Keshi won the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations competition as captain of the Nigerian national team (Super Eagles).

As a result, Nigeria’s national side (Super Eagles) won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in Johannesburg, South Africa, under the leadership of Stephen Keshi. Before his death in 2016, he broke the Guinness World Records.

5. Farthest distance walk with a ball on his head

International footballer Harrison Chinedu is also a professional athlete.

Harrison Chinedu, a Nigerian sports star, joins the ranks of those on this record list who have succeeded in their respective sports.

The Guinness World Record for the longest distance walked with a football on the head was set by this exceptional Nigerian player.

On March 6, 2016, he walked a total of 48.04 kilometers in 6 hours and 15 minutes.

6. Longest Marathon Reading Aloud

Olawunmi Treasures Bayode is another person who has broken a Guinness World Record.

Bayode managed to set a remarkable benchmark for himself in the reading category, which was a complete surprise.

While reading aloud, he set a new record by reading for 120 hours straight in one sitting. In 2018, he set new records for the Guinness Book of Records.

7. Longest rap freestyle by an individual

Chidera Anemenge AKA Chiddy Bang holds the world record for longest rap

Chidera Anemege, a Nigerian rapper located in the United States, is a household name in the music industry.

He resolved to make the most of his rap career by breaking the world record for freestyling and earning a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records.

At the MTV O Music Awards, which were hosted in Las Vegas, the United States, he broke the record for the longest freestyle rap performed by one person.

It took Chidera Anemege nine hours to break this record.

Chidera, known by the stage name Chiddy Bang became an internet sensation after breaking the Guinness World Record in 2011.

8. Most albums as a solo artist

23 years into a solo career, Fela Kuti had released 46 albums as a solo musician.

The first solo album was released in 1969, and the last was released in 1992.

Adetunwase Adenle, another Nigerian on this list, is notable since he has four records, unlike anybody else. As a school teacher and an artist, Adetunwase Adenle has set several records.

He holds the record for the largest picture that has been painted by the greatest number of individuals, and this artwork is the size of a football field.

350 volunteers created this mural, which depicts the map of Nigeria on a sheet measuring 63.5 meters by 49.3 meters.

It was in December 2018 when he set a Guinness World Record.

10. Highest number of chartered accountants in a family

Chartered accountant David Omueya Dafinone hails from Nigeria. He has the amazing distinction of being Nigeria’s first Guinness World Record holder in this category.

The Dafinone family of David Omueya Dafinone is famous for having the world’s largest number of chartered accountants.

In 1999, he set a new Guinness World Record.

Senator David Omueya and Cynthia Esella Dafinone of Lagos, Nigeria, had five children who all became Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in the early 1990s. In the year of 1963, their father also joined the same organization. Igho Omueya Dafinone, Ede Omueya Dafinone, and Duvie Omueya Dafinone now work for D O Dafinone Co. Chartered Accountants in Lagos.

Daphne Omueya Dafinone and Joy Ufuoma Dafinone are both residents of London.

11. Largest Internet Cafe

As of November 2008, Nigeria’s ChamsCity Digital Mall, with locations in Lagos and Abuja, had the most Internet cafés, each having 1,027 computer terminals.

There are two facilities in Nigeria, one in Lagos and the other in Abuja, and they both hold the record for having the same number of internet positions.
