Two persons have been confirmed dead following Friday morning’s attack on Ogbe-Ijoh by Aladja.

Reliable sources confirmed this to our correspondent.

The attack is coming on the heels of the expiration of a 7-day ultimatum issued by the Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom Interest & Defensive Forum.

The group had also petitioned the Council Chairmen of Udu and Warri South West over an alleged illegal boundary demarcation.

A heavy gun duel is said to have greeted the community prior to an intervention by military operatives, who arrested two persons from Ogbe-Ijoh.

Daily Report recalls that both communities have been at loggerheads for decades over land ownership tussle.

The tussle had led to the recent implementation of a boundary demarcation by the Ifeanyi Okowa-led Delta State Government.

However, the demarcation process has not been fruitful as both communities have at various times cried out over an alleged infringement on their lands.
