The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu, has on Friday, disclosed thtt the ruling party had not adopted zoning in the forthcoming elections.
The former lawmaker said the party was yet to make a decision whether to zone its presidential ticket or not.
Adamu stated this while speaking to State House correspondents after presenting the Ekiti APC governorship candidate, Abiodun Oyebanji, to President Muhammadu Buhari, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

According to the APC National Chairman, deciding where the presidential candidate of the party would come from was was beyond him.
Quizzed on which part of the country the presidential ticket of the APC would be zoned to, Adamu said;
“I am today privileged to be the chairman of the party. The party is greater than me. The party has not made a decision and I cannot preempt what the party decision will be.”
Daily Report Nigeria can recall that the decision of the APC to switch its national offices between the North and South, led to the emergence of Adamu from the North Central as its national chairman.
Adams Oshiomole, a Southerner was the last substantive National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, before Adamu, while the president was occupied by Muhammadu Buhari, a Northerner.
