The lawmaker representing Burutu Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Julius Pondi has made known his interest to contest for the seat again come 2023.

Pondi made the announcement on Wednesday, while receiving members of “The Julius Pondi Campaign Organisation,” led by its Director General, Togoland Oruebi at his Sokebolou residence.

The declaration followed a motion by Hon. Fungeowei Azami and supported by Frederick Christmas, for the two-time lawmaker to contest and represent the people once again.

The call was unanimously adopted by members of the organisation, who took turns to appraise Pondi’s performance so far.

‘I have listened to your call for me to once again return to the House of representatives. I wish to declare today that having consulted widely and satisfied with our level of performance, I believe there is need for us to consolidate on our programmes and further improve on making our people proud.

“I have sited constituency projects in all wards and very ready to do more. I therefore state that I am very ready to run once again against whomever that is thrown up against me,” Pondi said.

Pondib found his way to the National Assembly by unseating an incumbent in 2015, and has been scored highly by constituents.
