No less than 23 children have reportedly died during an attack by a particular gunman at a daycare facility in Thailand, on Thursday.
A police spokesperson who confirmed the incident explained that the attacker, an ex-police officer had opened fire at the facility in Nong Bua Lamphu, northeastern Thailand.
Police Major General Achayon Kraithong said the assailant did not only shoot his victims but also stabbed them.
A spokesperson for a regional government agency stated that about 26 deaths have been confirmed, which include 23 children, two teachers, and one police officer.

Although, the cause of the attack was yet unknown, reports suggested the officer had been freed recently.
