Ochayi told the court that the
defendants engaged in a brawl that resulted in serious injuries- an act that violated Section 113 of the Penal Code.

Despite pleading not guilty, the Judge, Malam Umar Mayana granted bail to the defendants with two sureties each.

The sureties must live within the court jurisdiction and have their addresses verified by a court officer.

Additionally, the defendants must sign an undertaking to maintain public peace among themselves. The case was adjourned until May 22 for hearing.
