Bayelsa: LG Poll Winners Receive Certificates of Return | Daily Report Nigeria

The victorious candidates from the Bayelsa State’s April 6 local government council poll have received their Certificates of Return.

Bayelsa Independent Electoral Commission (BYSIEC) presented the certificates on Monday.

The presentation was made by the BYSIEC Chairman, Peter Singabele during a ceremony at the Ernest Ikoli Press Centre, Nigeria Union of Journalists secretariat in Yenagoa.

Singabele extended his congratulations to the winners and encouraged them to fulfill their responsibilities by delivering the benefits of democracy to the grassroots.

In response, Bulodisiye Ndiwari, Chairman of the Yenagoa local government council, thanked Governor Douye Diri and other stakeholders for their unwavering support.

Ndiwari pledged to uphold the trust placed in them and work diligently to enhance the quality of life for their constituents.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secured all eight chairmanships and 105 councillorships in the polls.
