• The cause of death of the former priest of the Vatican, Pope Francis has been revealed.

• The Pope was reported to have passed away in the early hours of Monday, April 21.

A news outlet in Italy has revealed a possible cause of the Pope’s death.

Daily Report Nigeria recalls Pope Francis of the Vatican city died peacefully at the age of 88 due to a possible stroke.

Although the Pope was reported to have undergone a lung surgery while he was still younger, a procedure which shaped his acceptance of Christianity and the faith in general.

It was gathered that the Pope refused to be confined, after being discharged two months ago, and his doctor had said he needed at least two months of rest at his residence.

According to the doctor who treated him, he said he, the Pope encountered life-threatening challenges two times in the last months, he said his ‘life was in danger‘, and he needed rest.

However, he emerged on Easter Sunday, a day before his death, to bless thousands of people in St Peter’s Square.
