The Falcons carry confidence and fresh questions: can they fine-tune their tactics and claim that record 10th title?

The Super Falcons edged South Africa 2–1 to reach the 2024 WAFCON final, with Michelle Alozie scoring late.

Fans on X cheered Nigeria’s grit and hailed Alozie’s strike as “goal of the tournament.” Yet many also urged coach Justine Pwanidi Madugu to act earlier on substitutions.

@dhaniel rallied:

“Let’s go bag that 10th Afcon.”

@SamuelA66597025 warned:

“Great display, but our subs came too late—players were drained by the 80th minute.”

@prochibelrex:

“Best Team in Africa for a reason.”

@LeaguesReporter:

“That was a classic goal from Michelle Alozie, a goal of the tournament contender.”

@GenesisErim:

“Naija To The World. Amapaino Girls Didn’t See This Coming.”

Millions of Nigerians are watching now. The Super Falcons must blend their trademark fighting spirit with smarter in-game moves to lift the trophy and write a new Super Falcons 2024 WAFCON chapter.
