Momodu made the remark on Thursday while speaking on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief, where he dismissed claims that Tinubu is politically unbeatable. He argued that vigilant oversight of the electoral body and the emergence of strong opposition candidates could alter the outcome of the polls.

The publisher-turned-politician, who recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), said the opposition must field candidates capable of generating the political momentum needed to confront the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Highlighting the ADC’s internal strength, Momodu said the party boasts a “rich and robust” lineup, naming Aminu Tambuwal, Nasir El-Rufai, and Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi as prominent figures. He added that the presence of Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi within the ADC’s fold could translate into overwhelming votes if properly managed.

According to him, credible leadership and unity within the opposition, combined with a transparent electoral process, could tilt the balance against the APC.

Momodu stressed that when elections are professionally and transparently conducted, the outcome often reflects the true will of the electorate, noting that effective management of the process remains key to any opposition victory in 2027.
