A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress in ward 6, Ethiope East local government area of Delta State, Chief Ufuoma Deniran has rejected a 25kg of rice from the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.
The bag of rice was given to Chief Deniran as a gift to celebrate the festive season by the DSP.
According to the chieftain, the bag of rice was deposited at his residence while he was away in Benin.

However, after due consultation with his family and political associates, Deniran has deemed it fit to return the gift to the lawmaker.
In a video posted by Warri Aproko Updates, Chief Deniran attributed his decision to return the rice to personal grievances he has against the senator and the APC in Delta State.
“I don’t want to give details but my conscience will not be clear if I eat this rice. So, I’m returning it to the office of the Legislative Aide,” he said in the video while being flanked by three others.
