Lookman Will Bring Winning Mentality to Super Eagles — Pinnick | Daily Report Nigeria

President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick has said he’s unable to endure the wait for Ademola Lookman to play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

The 51-year-old is counting downs the days until the current Leicester City forward will wear Nigeria jersey.

According to Pinnick, Lookman is going to bring winning mentality to the senior football team of Nigeria.

Meanwhile, FIFA recently approved the 24-year-old’s Switch to Nigeria.

Lookman who joined the King Power Stadium on loan from RB Leipzig in the summer has also had a loan spell at Fulham in the 2020/ 2021 season.

The former Everton player who was born in London had previously played for England at U-19, U-20 and U-21 levels.

Meanwhile, Lookman was part of the England squad that lifted the FIFA U20 World Cup in 2017.

The first Vice President of Confederation of African Football, CAF revealed his excitement at the player’s successful switch from England to Nigeria.

Pinnick therefore, look forward to seeing Lookman in the Eagles’ squad as that, he thought would make Nigeria team very strong.

Pinnick said: “I’m also glad to announce that the work we’ve put in has ensured that on-loan Leicester City winger, Ademola Lookman’s application to change his nationality and represent Nigeria has been approved.”

“Lookman as part of England’s title win at the 2017 U-20 World Cup & brings a winning mentality to our team. I can’t wait to see him make our Super Eagles that more formidable.”
