Breaking: Buhari Appoints Onochie, Three Others as INEC Commissioners | Daily Report Nigeria

President Muhammadu Buhari has approached the Nigerian Senate to confirm the appointment of four persons including one of his media aides, Lauretta Onochie, as National Commissioners of the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Lauretta, who is the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, was recommended for approval to serve as INEC’s Commissioner for Delta state.

Others to be approved are Prof. Mohammed Sani Katsina), Prof. Kunle Ajayi (Ekiti), and Seidu Ahmed (Jigawa).

The President’s letter was read on the floor of Senate by the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan.
